The Americans

Fifth day in Rockland County. This place makes Manhattan seem intimate and cozy. Everything is green and lush, but there are no walking paths or sidewalks at all, everywhere you need to go requires a car, even to the park 300 meters away.
I can not understand how they ended up like this - the neighbourhood is like an island between freeways. What do people do in the weekends?

First post in this blog, about the view of Americans by someone from the outside, inspired very much by David Lamb's study in his two books "The Africans" and "The Arabs", albeit maybe slightly more cynical and not as serious.

Today, heading out to find a permanent car.
